The passenger types the flight number or picks the flight from that day's arrivals list.
The plane is late, nobody has to call anyone.
For airport pick-ups the flight is tracked automatically. If the plane lands early or late, the pick-up time is updated, the driver sees the new time on the phone and the passenger receives a message.
From the flight number to the pick-up

The flight is checked regularly
The flight is checked at regular intervals until it lands. You see its status on the booking.
If it is late
The pick-up time moves
When the expected landing time changes, the pick-up time is moved by itself. You do not need to change anything.
For the driver
The new time is on the phone
The driver sees the updated pick-up time in the driver app and plans the day around it.
For the passenger
The passenger is told
The passenger receives a message with the new landing time and is told the driver will wait.
